Description
Geneva School District 304 students, families, and community members are invited to attend the Cultural Fair on Friday, November 13, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Geneva Public Library, located at 227 S. Seventh St. in Geneva. The event offers an opportunity to explore 11 different countries and celebrate the many cultures that enrich our schools and community.
Visitors will have the chance to explore interactive cultural booths featuring artifacts, activities, and traditions from around the world. Attendees can learn about different countries and cultures through hands-on experiences designed to engage participants of all ages.
Students in grades PK-12 will receive a passport upon arrival and can collect stamps as they visit the booths. After visiting the booths, participants can turn in their passports for a raffle ticket and a chance to win a prize. A cultural demonstration and raffle drawing are also planned as part of the event.
The Cultural Fair is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the diverse backgrounds and experiences represented throughout the Geneva community. We hope you will join us for an afternoon of learning, discovery, and fun.
We need families to host booths! If your family would like to share your cultural heritage with the community, contact Dimitra Georganas. Community members interested in becoming an AFS host family can contact Robbin Lang at robbinlang@ameritech.net..
